When it comes to open-worthy subject lines, what do you need to consider?

Think about it – the subject line is the make-or-break piece of any email pitch. It’s your opportunity to make a memorable first impression, and the key element that ensures your email is read rather than tossed aside.

The subject line must convince an editor that they HAVE to open your email because it contains vital information they need to know. It’s critically important to put just as much effort into the subject line as the rest of your pitch, because if its subject line falls flat, there’s a significant chance your well-crafted pitch will end up in the recycle bin.
